#Table

Rows and columns, like a spreadsheet. Everyone can sort, filter, hide and resize columns for themselves, tick rows to change or delete them together, and double-click a cell to edit it. The best view for working through a lot of records on a computer.

#List

Compact rows, good on phones: the display field, a line of other fields and an optional picture. Group by splits the list into sections (by status, by person, by a link).

#Cards

A grid of cards, each with a picture (an image field) and the fields you pick. Good for products, properties, people.

#Detail

One record with all its fields, and the records that link to it (Linked from), with the record's History. Other views open records in a detail view.

#Form

A form to add a record. Pick the fields and their order; fields with a show if appear only when it's yes, and every rule is checked when it's saved. Good for a "Report a problem" or "New order" screen.

#Step-by-step form

A form split into steps, each with a title and its fields, filled in one step at a time. Good for long forms on phones and for guided processes.

#Kanban

Cards in columns, one per option of a choice field (or per person, or per linked record). Drag a card to another column to change that field; on phones, use Move to.

#Calendar

Records on a month grid by a date (and optionally an end date for things that last several days). On phones it shows as an agenda.

#Timeline

Bars from a start to an end date, like a Gantt chart, optionally in rows by a field. Good for projects, bookings and rentals.

#Map

Records with a location field: pins on a map and the list of places. When maps aren't set up on the server, it shows the list of places only.

#Chart

A chart of the table's records:

Chart Measures
Bar chart Count of records, Sum, Average, Smallest, Largest
Line chart Count of records, Sum, Average, Smallest, Largest
Pie chart Count of records, Sum, Average, Smallest, Largest
Single number Count of records, Sum, Average, Smallest, Largest

Group by a field (one bar or slice per value) or by a date (one point per month). Filter the view to chart only some records.

#Dashboard

Several views on one page, in the order you pick: a few charts and a list of today's jobs, for example.

#Printable record

One record laid out for printing or saving as a PDF: an invoice, a job sheet, a certificate.
